My works pays tribute to the transformative adventures and people that have sculpted my view of the world. I revisit these allegoric moments to render images that layer myths, dreams and reality. I focus on scale, perspective and color scheme to create impulsive portrayals of interactions with matter, and the mind’s romantic response. The surreal imagery and disorienting points of view in my paintings, disrupts space-time, putting into question the authenticity of our collaged memories. We are often too involved in the moment to realize the value behind these instances. It is only afterwards that we have time to reflect, assess and evolve. My work challenges participation in reflection.
